Albaraka Türk's Accessible Banking Program

Under the Accessible Banking Program, Albaraka Türk primarily aims to enhance the service quality for disabled or customers aged 70 and over, removing barriers for them. In this context, a social responsibility is undertaken to ensure that disabled or elderly customers can benefit from banking services without issues.

Branch Design for Disabled Customers

All Albaraka Türk branches in Turkey are compliant with the "Regulation on the Accessibility of Banking Services" published by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) and are equipped to serve disabled customers.

Services provided under the program are as follows:

  • All staff are encouraged to learn sign language and have participated in training programs to communicate effectively with disabled customers. Additionally, remote support for sign language communication is provided through video calls.
  • All signage and boards are designed to be accessible for disabled customers, and care has been taken to ensure that informational texts on branch doors are embossed.
  • All contracts are published on Albaraka Türk's corporate website, enabling customers to access them. Disabled customers are also offered the opportunity to listen to these contracts through screen reader programs.
  • Disabled or elderly customers can perform cash withdrawals, deposits, and balance inquiries at ATMs without any charges within Turkey.
  • In addition to ensuring that all branches are accessible to disabled or elderly customers, individual sales representatives are assigned as customer representatives to ensure that these customers can easily access services.
  • In the design development of digital channels, the needs of disabled customers are considered.
  • When selecting ATM devices, attention has been paid to ensuring high-quality lighting, reducing the physical movement and strength required for buttons, making it easier for disabled or elderly customers to perform their transactions.
