Apart from ethical principles, Albaraka Turk determined the below situations as reasons to hire an employee according to all intolerant provisions about anti-bribery and anti-corruption of Personnel Management Chapter VII titled “Provisions about Discipline”, “Situations About Termination” number 71.
“To delete every kind of record, document and data, destroy them with any purposes, change them/have them changed contrary to facts and procedures, block the system,”
“To consociate secretly or openly with customers, clients and people related to the Bank, accept a bribe or a gift with a benefit from them,”
“To commit a theft, fraud, forgery or do any acts that will threaten security or receivership,”
“To use/let others use Bank’s resources for personal benefit or benefit of others and get an unfair advantage.”
Albaraka Turk constructed necessary processes, systems and units for anti-bribery and anti-corruption to protect and strengthen Bank’s national and international reputation, and protect its customers and personnel quality. Our Bank maintains its operations about anti-bribery and anti-corruption by presenting the illegal operations that happened in our company or Bank personnel did to our customers and employees via Department of Internal Controlling, Labor Inspection Board, Legislative Alignment Board and also, our Report Line. Albaraka Turk has established the required policy in order to fight against the money laundering and finance of terror. Click for "Policy against Money Laundering and Financing Terrorism" Albaraka Turk actively implements its policies and activities within the scope of "Law No. 5549 on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing", "Law No. 6415 on the Prevention of Finance of Terror", regulations and MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board); also assigns compulsory e-trainings for the whole personnel in certain intervals and contributes for their self-awareness on Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption.
Some of the compulsory e-trainings assigned to the personnel are; Training Program on Preventing Bribe to Public Officials in International Commercial Transactions, E-Learning Training on Struggling Against the Financing of Terrorism and Current Risk, Basic Concepts of ML-PTF and Risk-Based Approach and Liabilities from the Legislation 2015 ML-PTF.
